Valentines Day at Oxford Clubs

Are you fed up with Cupid giving you the cold shoulder? Me too, which is why this year I might try making fate work for me for a change by forcing that choosy cherub to shoot an arrow my way. You may ask how. Well, instead of ambling around my flat making 'incidental' trips past the letterbox to see if some deluded soul has had the bad sense to send me a card, I'm going to spend Valentines Day at Oxford clubs.
This is because on Valentines Day Oxford clubs are promising a kiss and a cuddle. For example, Lava and Ignite are hosting a Valentines Masquerade Bar incorporating a world record attempt. They're hoping …

It's too late to do online shopping and as a result I'm sure my credit card bill will be much worse because by December 24 I'll be in the grip of guilt shopping. This is when all I do is buy, buy, buy in an attempt to compensate my nearest and dearest for my lack of organisation. Yes, in short, …

New Years Eve in Oxford bars

I'm skint, I'm disorganised and it's nearly New Year. I don't think I'm alone in having a small panic about what to do for the big night. And I am not, repeat not, spending it at some shabby house party drinking cheap booze from a plastic glass, listening to someone else's iPod selection and wondering if the beaten up sofa in the corner is where I'll wake up in January 2009. No, I want to wear a glitzy dress, sparkle in a bar someone and drink something fun from a real glass and see lots of strangers faces, all smiling and basking in the general warmth this time of year generates. In short, I want to go out for New Years Eve. And the best way to do it on the cheap (ie not paying club entrance and extortinate bar bills) is by spending New Years …

Valentines Day at Oxford restaurants

What does every girl want for Valentine's Day? Well, not much really. Sometimes just an acknowledgement that it's actually happening would be nice. So if you're trying to find an excuse not to do treat the lady in your life, believe me, it would be far easier for you to plan something - anything. And it really isn't that hard. Just a little bit of research and a little bit of thought. But, if you're having trouble, to spare you the heartache (and to give a few hints to my other half...) I've had a look through the various events for Valentines Day at Oxford restaurants. This is because a meal is the most obvious, and easiest, event to plan. For goodness sake lads, on Valentines Day Oxford restaurants …
