If you haven't got round to doing your Christmas shopping then shame on you! And shame on me because nor have I. Each year I promise myself I'm going to be organised and start my shopping in November. I believe I'll be able to do it online because it's so much easier. I imagine myself merrily clicking my way through my shopping list without giving a second thought to my credit card bill.
Unfortunately, things haven't turned out like that. It's too late to do online shopping and as a result I'm sure my credit card bill will be much worse because by December 24 I'll be in the grip of guilt shopping. This is when all I do is buy, buy, buy in an attempt to compensate my nearest and dearest for my lack of organisation. Yes, in short, all I've got to look forward to is joining the hordes of others who leave their Christmas shopping in Oxford to the last minute.
Luckily there's loads of stuff going on to help Christmas shopping in Oxford feel a little more comfortable. One of my favourite places for Christmas shopping in Oxford is the The Covered Market. There are so many unique gifts you can grab there, although some are quite pricey. I'll also no doubt stop off at Westgate for some Christmas shopping.
In Oxford there were rumours going around that Christmas had been cancelled but the Westgate shopping centre has ensured there's some festive cheer to go round. In the run up to Christmas they've got loads going on including a stilt walker, some reindeers plus a comedy act on Christmas Eve called Santa Banter. Quite what this comedy act will find to laugh at when we're in the grip of a credit crunch is anyone's guess. I'll let you know.

Templars Square have also pulled out all the stops to ensure Christmas shopping in Oxford isn't devoid of yuletide fun. They're giving out free candyfloss and popcorn on Christmas Eve to help keep your strength up. I may even stop to get my fortune read because apparently they've got a palm reader who'll be doing readings for free. And I'd quite like to know what next year has in store for me, a hefty overdraft perhaps?
