The ViewOxford Review
The Old Fire Station nightclub hosts a variety of themed nights and is also open during the day for food. Mainly a place for students to go in the week (and miss lectures the next day) as they run cheap student nights.
The Venue
The Old Fire Station is located in Oxford City centre down George Street. Within the venue there’s a long bar which has a great selection of drinks at responsible prices with a good size dance floor. The chances are if you end up in here you will dance the night away to the commercial party music.
The People
The club has a friendly and bubbly feel as soon as you walk in the room. You see that everyone is looking for a great time and a boogie to the cheesy chart music which is on rotation. Admission into the club is about £3.00 for a student night and £5.00 every Friday and Saturday, pretty good value to be fair.
The Music
There’s a disco every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night and there’s a DJ on in the week for the student nights. There’s an upstairs which has tables and seating areas for a drink and to chill out from the heat of the dance floor. Adam Ball from Fox FM DJs in the Old Fire Station every so often and on these nights there’s great competitions with the chance to win cash and holiday vouchers.
The Last Word
If you are looking for a night to party the night away with a great atmosphere and friendly bouncers and bar staff, this is the place for you!
