Wow! Some great films (as well as some awful ones) have come out of France in the last year or so, and here comes another! A mesmerising performance from Yolande Moreau, and a wonderful evocation of time and place. This feels like an instant classic.
It is a European film par excellence. I just loved its rich, unhurried beauty, but I suppose it won't appeal to those who like their dialogues wordy, their plots labyrinthine and their action relentless.
