Fright Nights
Oxford Castle is one of the UK's most haunted sites with more than 15 recorded ghosts, so it's the perfect place for a spot of spectre hunting this Halloween. But fear not, it won't be just you and the ghosts. For the Oxford Castle Ghost Fest a team of ghost-hunting specialists from Fright Nights will be on hand to hold your hand.

Ian Lawman
The Oxford Castle Ghost Fest starts with Ian Lawman's investigation of the most haunted section of the castle - The Crypt. The former Most Haunted medium will attempt to make contact with the lost souls who frequent this part of the castle. The vigil will be done in complete darkness so take a torch and a spare pair of pants.

Overnight Fright
For true ghost-hunters a stay overnight at a haunted castle is an absolute must. The Oxford Castle Ghost Fest offers you the chance to stay in site where the ghost of murderer Mary Blandy, who was tried and hanged at Oxford, has been seen wandering around the Castle Mound. You'll be joined by leading mediums and paranormal investigators who will try to make contact with the spirits.

Teen Spirits
Younger ghost-hunters can join in with the Halloween high jinx at the Teen Spirits events. Suitable for 13-year-olds and older, the event will include a tour of the castle and the use of ghost-hunting and psychic equipment. Other Fright Night Halloween events include Behind The Scenes at the Castle which gives you exclusive access to the underground tunnels that lie between the hotel and the ancient court rooms.

The Mitre
Some of the UK's top paranomral investigators will be leading the Halloween events at Oxford Castle Unlocked. Dr Ciaran O'Keeffe, Most Haunted's parapsychologist, will lead an overnight ghost-hunt at the castle. And at The Mitre, Oxford's most haunted pub, you can meet some of Britain's best clairvoyants and psychics who will be demonstrating their powers.

Psychological Illusion
Fans of Derren Brown won't want to miss out on two special events led by Paul Bell, one of the country's leading psychological illusionists. Using a mix of magic and his own psychic powers Paul will be doing tarot readings and hosting a seance in the notoriously haunted Crypt.

Oxford Castle Unlocked
The grand finale of the Halloween events at Oxford Castle is In Extremis which will also be led by Paul Bell. You will be taken into the inner depths of the Oxford Castle Unlocked site where the 300-year-old cells are situated. You will then be strapped into a straitjacket and left alone inside this dark, dank cells with only a walkie-talkie. This spooky evening is part of a special paranormal event which will be broadcast live on the internet.
