This is a great pub - a really good place to just hang out. Arrive in time for morning coffee and a cake; stay for lunch and a bottle of cider (several on offer) or a local beer; move to a sofa for a cup of tea (or another cider) and settle in for a long chat. Leave just in time to get walk into town before the sun goes down. The staff are dippy but charming; the food adequate with little choice - but what the Isis lacks in sophistication, it makes up for in atmosphere - which the Isis has in spades! Try it - you might never want to leave. It's not smart; it's not trendy; but it is what a pub should be.
no car park?hurrah!no road?hurrah!
is it a pub is it a cafe is it what? local-sourced food, local-sourced drink, local-sourced humans bicycles and boats pass dangerously individual place to hang out.
Location is beautiful, has huge potential unfortunately not realised.
Beers and ciders are lovely, shame the pub is not open from Mon-wed.
Felt embarrassed when standing at the bar having to listen to who I can only assume was the manager or owner addressing a member of staff in an offensive manor.
Nice pub, but you have to walk to it which can be problematic after a drink or two!!
