I can honestly say I haven't been here in ten years BUT I hope it hasn't changed...

Clearly this comes with a time caveat...

- Good atmosphere
- Friendly staff
- Very cheap and cheerful grub

Reputation - the food often arrives before you've got from the bar to the table - magic or microwave?

I worked there 10yrs ago, it was half magic, half microwave!! Unfortunately the then owners left a good while ago and 3-4 landlords later it is now shut down :( If a good manager takes it over and keeps it as a family friendly local pub it will be back to its best!
