we visited this restaurant yesterday with my mother and two kids. The staff could not have been more friendlily and attentive without being annoying. They bent over backwards and went the extra mile with our requests. The food was stunning and really well presented. Both kids enjoyed the food including the more spicy dishes as they had flavour not just heat. We will certainly be visiting again and ordering takeaways when pushed for time. The best curry I have had in ages

This is, without doubt, one of the best Indian restaurants in Bicester if not the best. Please be aware - the management has changed and the poor reviews were all prior to the current team taking over. They have absolutely transformed the place; the service is attentive without being overbearing, the food is superb (my particular favourite is the delicious Jolphoy chicken) and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our food arrived quickly and was beautifully presented. It was also excellent value for money. I have been on 2 or 3 occasions in the last couple of months and the experience has been consistently excellent. The friends that we have taken have also been very impressed and there were some real curry connoisseurs amongst them! In conclusion, I would happily recommend Anica restaurant to anyone looking for a really good quality Indian meal in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It's a little tucked away but well worth the effort to find it.

We were recommended this restaurant by friends and my husband and I are so pleased we booked for our 1st anniversary.

The staff were fast, friendly and efficient, describing some of the dishes well.

This was excellent value for money and we particularly loved the chilli naan which was spicy but not too much, just right!

The chutneys with the poppadoms were absolutely delicious along with our starter and main meal where the ingredients were lovely and fresh, very tasty and the meat was really tender. This was great value for money, thoroughly enjoyed it.

We would both go back again...definitely.

The bad reviews we noticed are from a while back with the previous owner, We think new customers should give it a go, our experience was a positive one!

I have never had worse food or service, I was rushed into ordering only to wait an hour and half for a meal that was cold , when I sent it back it took a further half hour to come back frazzled from microwave .......Very Upset

Well what can one say apart from prob the worst curry every and one of the most expensive. They had 2 attempts at the same meal and still was left with a poor tasting curry with no flavour and was very watery. The nan bread was also very taste less. Would never go here again

The worst service I've ever seen?

To summarise our experience: - 20 minute wait for them to lay an empty table - 15 minute wait after we said we would order our food at the same time as our drinks (perhaps he was assembling his own notepad?) - 30 minutes to an hour wait for the starter (which was actually quite nice, in their defence) - warmed plates delivered to our table, and then 5 minutes later taken away again?! - every so often a waiter would turn up to try and take our glasses and water jug away, despite the fact that we still had the mains to go. - hour wait for the mains, which arrived without cutlery (we had to get our own from the kitchen!) and one dish short, and the waiter didn't know what meal was what! - manager's solution to these epic fails was to reduce our bill by a paltry 10%, and he even got the sum wrong for this so our bill ended up being more expensive until we corrected him!. But they seemed to have 3 waiter's in the restaurant. There really is no excuse for it. The worst, ...?and strangely funniest experience I've had at a restaurant.

Do not eat here. I have eaten in and ordered take-aways and the service is terrible. It always takes over an hour. On the last occasion I ordered at 7pm anticipating a long wait but the food arrived at 9.20! And stone cold. And they made me pay for it. When I complained to the manager he seemed to think that this was acceptable. If you think that waiting 2hours and twenty minutes for a cold inedible curry in acceptable then be my guest but my advice would be stay away! Terrible! Anica used to be called Cafe Nur and has changed it's name. Be warned

I love this place! It was recommended by a friend of mine who said the service and food was fantastic.

He said even his girlfriend was impressed and she is usually critical of Indian resturants being Indian herself. He usually goes for the meal deal.

He's gone there ever since and so have I. I have takeaways and collect the food as it's then 10% off the price. The food portions are a good size and sometimes there's extra food in the bag at no extra price! They are so so friendly.

Having lived on Bicester now for about 5 years and trying the majority of resturants on the road, this is definitely my choice when going for an Indian.

Anica restaurant. The food is very good. the service was 100% good, very friendly staff. yes the restaurant is out of the way from main street, but service and food was lovely.

I have been dining inside 9 time, i found they look after us life there close friend. I also notice other customer, they welcome there customer with open arm.

Why not give your self a try and see your self, I notice from sunday to thursday 5pm till 11.00pm there is meal deal for £18, that's give starter's. main. side order.
rice or naan plus tea or coffee, which i was not aware of this.

this is the best deal for 2 people. We will keep going and all our friends go there too.

I cannot deny that the food was ... pretty good. But everything else about my experience at Anica was frustrating; indeed, eating at this restaurant was my only annoying dining experience in Bicester.

The waiters are pushy - VERY pushy - as in they really, really, really want you to order an appetizer, and dessert, and drinks, and a ton of side dishes.

Can you see why I was annoyed? Bad service that was my experience here. With so many good restaurants in this town, I advise checking out an alternative ... any alternative, really.

I agree! I had a terrible experience with service - and a two hour twenty minute wait! And rudeness when I commented that I thought this was not acceptable! Choose any other indian!
