Some of the best Chinese food I have ever tasted, the staff are very friendly and couldn't be more helpful recommending dishes and wine. Will certainly eat here again the restaurant has a real charm tucked down a side street.

Not family friendly at all. A very frosty member of staff asked us to leave before we had even sat down. The man had the cheek to offer us a take away. We will take our business where it is appreciated!

Has it occurred to you that not every restaurant wants 'families'. Maybe you should have asked them first. There is nothing worse than eating out when sat next to a family with kids, especially when they can't behave and are not kept under control.
Incidentally, the food in the Drunken Chef is excellent and the staff polite and friendly. If it's available, try a Rose liqueur.

It was very early evening. The restaurant was empty. They welcomed us in. Showed us a table. I walked my youngest up to see the fish at which point I was asked to leave if 'I can't control my children' neither of which had said a peep. I don't mind if they don't want young people. It's the way it was said.

I completely agree with you. It is very nice to go to somewhere child free as we did to the Birdcage last week. A fantastic place to eat and they have a sign on the door saying no children. Much better!

I personally do my best to make sure that we do not disturb other people.

My review is to save other people the embarrassment of being asked to leave.

Brilliant food, lovely friendly staff, reasonably prices!!

Do a very palatable Rioja that goes down very well with the Chinese food!

Really enjoy the atmosphere and everything about the cozy restaurant.

Had some really tasty food from here with my best friend. She treated me for my Birthday, it was lovely.
