I'd never heard of them before, but needed to feed hungry kids, on a Sunday. The queue for Jamie's new place opposite was out of the door, these guys had tables.
I'm glad they did.
VERY friendly staff, and good food, with a fascinating new variety of toppings, based around the world.

Everybody ate everything. My 15 year old is a pizza connoisseur, and rated these very highly. My 5 year old enjoyed his, and finished it, which is high praise indeed.

We liked it so much, my wife and I booked to go back on the Thursday night following.

Need I say more?

AWFUL! I have never written a review before but am compelled to do so, so that others don't make the same mistake. Please believe me when I say a Tesco value pizza at home would provide 100% more pleasure. The pizza bases must be bought in bulk, they are like cardboard, definitely not made on the premises. The topping was disgusting, 2 cheap slides of ham and some tinned pineapple placed on the horrible base - all of which was cold. The side salad of tomato, basil and red onion, was tasteless and was really just a chopped tomato with a basil leaf placed on top. When the waiter could see I hardly touched the meal he asked why, so I said it was really horrible - he just shrugged and gave me the bill, clearly not the first time he had heard that. I thought it was impossible to go wrong with a pizza, Fire & Stone demonstrate that it is. Truly disgusting. Avoid it.

Today, lunch time, four of us had different pizzas, wine, water, coffee and dessert.
From the moment we stepped into Fire and Stone until we left it was one smasher of an experience.
The ambiance was superb; the staff was friendly and efficient; the service was excellent; the pizzas were exquisite; the dessert and drinks were first class; the loo was impeccable.
We'll certainly go back for more.
Thank you for a very pleasant meal.

Not a pleasant experience. Friendly waiters but the food wasn't quick and it tasted awful. The margarita was less pleasant than a tesco value pizza and the curry pizza had no flavour whatsoever. You would assume that a pizza with a curry sauce would actually have some sauce on it, which this pizza didn't have.

This is one of the worst places we have ever been to. Our standards that particular night were low, given that we were very tired and hungry. And yet, the pizzas were revolting enough to make us feel queasy afterwards. That the pizza bases are small is not really a problem; quite to the contrary, given that they are also hard, thick and heavy (try Sainsbury's or Tesco's for better quality). Toppings tasted cheap (despite the price) and bland, indeed, disgusting. Unless you hate yourself or your friends, avoid the 'Capetown' pizza, which is slathered in a plasticky imitation of mince.

But nothing compares to the unique experience of having waffles. For a place called 'Fire & Stone', one would expect that at the very least they would defreeze the waffles sufficiently. Well, no, the waffles were colder than the ice cream on top of them, and had to be sent back. To their credit, the staff offered tea and free desert, though this time the waffles were stale, crusty and equally difficult to cut (not to mention that the damage to our stomachs is difficult to estimate at this stage).

Both the food and the service showed obvious signs of underinvestment. For your own sake, we'd recommend steering clear of this place.

Covent Garden Fire and Stone is one of my favourite restaurants in London so when down in Oxford for a weekend away I had to visit newly opened branch!
Very impressed!

Food and service great as always!
Yet again had Casablanca Pizza :)
(Always go for the same one - combination as strange as it sounds is amazing!)
Some months ago my friend ordered it for herself and I ended up eating it...
Since then it's a love-hate relationship :)
Love becuse I love it!
Hate becuse I want to have other pizzas but I just cant!
Good job that they've got loads of starters...

anyway!
check it out people!

Terrible pizzas especially as you can do so much better within a few hundred yards.
