Three of us dined at The Chequers on Wednesday evening.

We had no problem parking and we received a warm welcome.

Two of had the Moules a la creme which was served with fresh bread, we had a side order of Frites each. This was superb, just as good as in Normandy. We washed this down with a very reasonably priced dry white wine.

One of us had Chicken breast stuffed with risotto, wrapped with parma ham followed by the home made cheese cake which was splendid.

We had an excellent evening and will definitely return.

Sunday roasts here are the bomb! Great choice of meats and proper lush potatoes. me and my friends try and come here at least once a month and we'd come more often if we could ITS SO GOOD!
