Went to the Mitre tonight to celebrate a friends 40th birthday. Table had been booked for about 6 months for 23 of us.

Despite the table being booked for 7pm nobody had any food until 8.15pm.On trying to order we were told there were no rump steaks,no ribs,no bass.

People at the next table said they ordered cheese and biscuits and there was no cheese!They had paid £60 for an awful meal for two.

When the food arrived it was tepid,overcooked and no sauces or salad dressing were offered.

We had to ask several times before a few sachets were brought to the table.I will definately vote with my feet in future.

Wont be going back any time soon.Food and service lukewarm.

The Mitre is a Beefeater outlet and the food served is typical of such a chain - my friends dragged me there but I'd much rather go to a real pub where you can get the same kind of food a lot cheaper.
